Last year, I stood in front of a room full of beautiful people at Curls & Cuisine… nine weeks pregnant, toasting with ginger ale instead of champagne. 🥂😅 I was already savoring a whole new chapter — just not the menu.
That night was magic. Not just because of the energy in the room, but because of the love that poured in from our incredible sponsors, the talented vendors, and you — the guests who bought tickets, showed up, and cheered for Cooking With Naked Hair. You made the event unforgettable… even if my palate had to sit that one out.
Since then, I’ve been living in a new rhythm — slowing down to embrace my first year of motherhood, finding joy in the small things (like Emery’s laugh), and giving myself grace as I navigate this wild, beautiful season. My website might look a little quiet right now, but that pause? It was intentional.
After a lot of reflection, I’ve decided not to host an in-person Curls & Cuisine event this year. Instead, I’m pouring into community outreach and my family — still in the name of Curls & Cuisine — while cooking up ways to bring us together in different, meaningful ways.
Here’s what you can expect:
Holiday recipes coming your way to make your table a little more special.
A special announcement this fall for what we’re doing instead of an event — and I think you’re going to love it.
To my day-ones and new friends alike: thank you for your patience, your encouragement, and your belief in this little dream of mine. The pause was for love. The return? That’s for all of us.
Stick around — the best chapters are still ahead.
